Meet in front of Summer Palace East Gate (or your Beijing downtown hotel's lobby if you choose the private tour). Then start your adventure at Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site. (If you want a different start time--for private tour please let us know we will try our best to arrange)
During your journey, your guide provides a historical overview of the landmark, which was built in 1750 as a royal residence and is widely considered a masterpiece of Chinese landscape design. Once you arrive at the Summer Palace, follow your guide to enter from the East Gate of the palace and visit some of the most important buildings, such as the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity, the Long corridor, the marble boat, the hall of Happiness and Longevity and more.
Then you will travel back to the middle of the Summer Palace, continue with a visit to the Hall of Dispelling Clouds, which is situated on the central axis of Longevity Hill and is the heart of a succession of buildings used for celebrations. Admire the Tower of Buddhist Incense and other buddhist buildings.
Your tour will ends at the north gate of the Summer Palace, after the tour you can choose to explore the Summer Palace on your own or travel back to your hotel by subway or by private car.
